I shop in Woodbury, Long Island, NY. Your 3 lb bag of jumbo roasted peanuts, of which I buy many, was 4.99, then 5.49, then 5.99, then 6.49, then 6.79. Why the big increase. Wasn’t $5.00 enough. You are being very greedy. Many of your other prices have increased and are more than other markets. Iavarone, an Expensive Italian store in the area, has better prices than your large supermarket chain…for example…loose potatoes are $.99 a pound, and you have raised your’s from .99 to $1.29. That is just one example of the many price increases. Your customers are going elsewhere to shop, as I have heard many discussing this. Please respond.
I live on Nantucket Island and you know you have total control as there is no other store to shop at. I am tired of being taken advantage of. You sell “kits” at high prices but as soon as it is purchase it (other people on the Island mentioned different products) you discontinue or remove the ability to buy refills. Extremely poor customer service.
I’m really disappointed that S&S refuses to stock millet. Bob’s Red Mill makes it, it’s a perfectly healthy food. I’ve asked the managers of all three branches in Poughkeepsie/Hyde Park, and they had to shake their head and say the Big Office won’t stock it for some reason. So…I always have to buy my millet from ShopRite. And of course, while I’m there I buy other things that I ordinarily would have gotten from Stop&Shop.

stop and shop has great deald and the people that work there are really nice to talk to and they let me get empty apple and boxes to distrubet food to the neady. that is the aberdeen store in N.J.
For the most part I have always shopped at Stop and Shop. More recently I have shopped less at Stop and Shop. I do not like the new bagging areas —- the carousels slow down the bagging process. In addition, it appears that the employee numbers have been decreased. As a result, the wait time to cash out is often longer than in the past.
I shop at the Whitman S.S. And the employees are all extremely nice but the spinning bag holder is going to force me out of the store and do my shopping at Trucchies. It takes to long – I have to help bag and take The bags of the clever spinning bag holder. I
Have run manufacturing plants and have experienced a number of efficiency engineering efforts and this is terrible. A lot of customers feel the same way. I look for registrars that are with out them. Even your own workers are not thrilled about them.
Hi. I just want to leave some comments about the Lincoln Street store in Holyoke. First, you can’t ever read the receipt. Can they get new printers please? This has been an issue for YEARS. Also, it would be nice if there was a policy that everyone clean their station at least hourly…i don’t want to spend $100 cash to get my purchase slimed up with other people’s chicken juice. The deli is another source of irritation as there are 5 people working back there and only 1 to wait on customers. Lastly, I HATE waiting to pay….and that is a certainty. I wish we had another store here in Holyoke. I do travel to Big Y ins South Hadley as they have local produce and the store is CLEAN and they have nice little shopping carts and may lines open but this S/S is right around the corner and it would be nice to not sigh every time i walk in here.
The reason I go to Stop and Shop is because they have the best meats and they have everything I need. The workers are friendly and helpfull. I don’t like the paper bags but only because they are so flimsy and always break on me. Although it seems like prices have gone up a bit. But this is my store and I won’t go any where else.
I LOVE STOP&STOP I SHOP THERE ALMOST EVERY DAY. I WORKED THERE FOR 38 YEARS, AS MEAT MANAGER. THE DEPARTMENTS ARE ALWAYS CLEAN AND HAVE EVERY THING I NEED. THE PEOPLE ARE SO HELPFUL, AND THEY KNOW WHAT THEY TALKING ABOUT, I SHOP AT THE ANSONIA CT STORE. LOVE IT!!
